SINGAPORE REPLACE TO LED LIGHT, LEAD ENTERED THE LED AGE
Since July 2014, 4000 LED light be substituted to street lamp light by Singapore government, it covered 400 streets. All item will finished at the second quarter of 2018. This subject aimed at exchange common street lamp light to LED light at unoccupied street and some residential areas to lower the electricity consumption of lighting. (70 watt to 120watt). Exchange subject will replace the lights which are close to limit point, to LED light, it can decrease 30% cost of energy consumption.
Before the subject of exchanger LED light. Singapore’s Department for Transport had test LED lamp for three years with 17 LED light and 2 streets it is Northumberlan and Tekka Street. Now Singapore transport department try to use superpower (larger than 250W) LED light at main road of city and high way. Since last August JPJ was test the LED light at Lorong1ToaPayoh Street. It test covers Energy saving, longevity and stability about LED light, and this test will finish at 2016
